We provide consultancy, training and writing services. We believe that the best results come from writing done in-house by team members close to the action. For this we provide training services.  If you need help with writing services we can also supply those.

Here is how we work with you to document or improve your business system. For a smaller business we simplify the process, but the idea is the same.

Step 1— Your aims for your business systems

We find out what you want to achieve by improving your business systems and their documentation.

Step 2Understanding your business

We visit your business if possible and find out about your products and services, your team and how you run your business.

Step 3— Your existing systems and documentation

We learn about your existing systems, workflows and documentation, including ‘how to’ documents, forms and records.

Step 4— A vision for the systems and documentation 

We work with you to create a vision of a documented business system with efficient record keeping that would enable you to achieve your objectives.

Step 5— Tools and strategy and primary contact

We work with you to plan a strategy and a set of milestones for developing or improving your documented business system, and, for each milestone:
  • Tools required
  • The primary contact person for us to work through

Step 6— Project plan and resources for a milestone

We work with you to analyse and design the outputs for the milestone and create a project plan, including
  • Any new business workflows required
  • Documents required, including ‘how to’ documents, rules, forms and records
  • Work required on existing documents
  • New documents required
  • Who will create and adapt the documents
  • What training is required for in-house contributors
  • Who will be the main custodian of the system
  • How general team members will learn to use the new systems and documentation
  • How quickly the project will run (limits on cash or in-house contributors’ available time)

Step 7— Carry out the project and reach the milestone

We work with you to carry out the plan to reach each milestone.

Step 8— Review the work completed

Review the work with the team members who use it and improve it as necessary.

Step 9— Repeat Steps 6–8 for other milestones

Continue with milestones until project is finished.

We can help you to develop your procedure manual and workflows through training sessions or direct work on your site. Our training sessions are normally on-line but can be in person if we travel to you from Bendigo, Victoria, Australia (or you travel to us).
